Measures and calculations

• Revenue: Sum of the revenue column in the Financials table
• Revenue YoY %: Revenue compared with the same period last year
• Gross margin %: (Revenue - Cost of sales) divided by Revenue
• Target attainment %: Actual divided by target for the selected period

Data model and required fields

• Financials[Date] (Date): Transaction or posting date
• Financials[Department] (Text): Department name
• Financials[Revenue] (Decimal): Revenue amount
• Financials[CostOfSales] (Decimal): Direct cost
• Targets[Month] (Date): First day of the month
• Targets[Target] (Decimal): Revenue target

Compatibility and prerequisites

- Power BI Desktop (current release recommended). The report uses standard visuals only, so no custom visuals need to be installed. - Works with Import mode. DirectQuery is possible for most sources but is not tested. - Publishing and sharing needs a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User licence for you and your viewers, or a Premium capacity.
